Notices:

  • Election Notice: Hudson Township is temporarily consolidating their precinct with Vanderbilt for the Special Election on May 6, 2025.  Voters who live in the Vanderbilt School District should head to Corwith Township Hall, 8170 Mill Street, Vanderbilt, MI  49795 to cast your vote. This is a Vanderbilt Sinking Fund millage renewal proposal.  If you have any questions, please call Randi Terry at 989-370-9500.
  • Tax Bills (Treasurer): Please note the proper remittance address on your property tax bills and submit accordingly. The Township is not responsible if sent to an incorrect address.
  • Notice to Voters: The State of Michigan is discontinuing the process of absentee ballot applications. The new process is a permanent absentee ballot.   What this means for the absentee voter is that your Clerk will no longer be sending you an application for each election. You have the option to receive a mail in ballot for every election for which you are eligible by joining the permanent ballot list. If you are interested in joining the permanent ballot list, please contact your Clerk.
  • Public Notices:  Effective February 2025, all public noticed (those published in newspapers) will be posted in the Charlevoix News at a minimum.  This is to avoid any resident looking at multiple publications.

Fire Department News:

  • Fire Department Update:  in 2024 Hudson Township Fire and Rescue had 87 medical calls (including primary and mutual aid to outlying areas). In addition to our ambulance transport personnel, there were 2.5 Hudson Township responders on every call.  Thank your fire department personnel for that accomplishment.

Year Round Recreation

Hudson Township provides many opportunities for year round recreation whether it be lakes and streams for boaters, swimmers or fishermen, many acres of State owned land for mushrooming and many miles of snowmobile trails. (The Northern Michigan Snowmobile trail runs from the northern to the southern borders of Hudson Township. Click here to access trail maps, conditions and lodging.)

Please enjoy them responsibly and come back often.
